Welcome to my blog – I’m so happy you stopped by! I am Charlotte Roe, but I go by Charlie. Let me tell you about my current self;
I am a graduate of the University of Maine in Orono, ME. Having majored in Journalism, with a Sociology minor, my passions and knowledge have been and are greatly influenced by the huge world around me.
As a true Native Long Islander, both of my parents’ families have been on the Island for 200 years or longer, but my ancestors have taught me that being rooted in one place is not the way to live a true life. By utilizing my passion for fitness, I hope to meet, see and inspire people from all walks of life around the world to reconnect with their cultural traditions!
I would like to formally welcome all people to read my articles and share their opinions and concerns, but more importantly to ask questions regarding health, athletics, food, spirituality, and traditions. I always look forward to learning about others’ personal experiences on all matters of life, for through personal connections may we truly gain personal growth.
My experience in the fitness world is that of a life long, childhood and adolescent school athlete. I competed in volleyball, tennis, swimming, basketball, and traditional dances for both my Native American and Irish cultures. I am currently an IFPA Bikini Pro athlete, and a NPC Bikini athlete. In the very near future, I will be a Certified Personal Trainer from the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM).
